About Blue Sky Flower Farm

Locally grown flowers • Sustainable practices • Minnesota family farm

Blue Sky Flower Farm is a family-owned cut flower and specialty crop farm located between Lakeville and Elko-New Market, Minnesota. With more than 30 years of combined horticulture experience, we focus on growing high-quality, Minnesota-grown flowers, branches, and farm-fresh products for our community and trusted wholesale partners.

Founded by Jon and Rachael Ackerman, the farm began with a small planting of dogwood and willow branches on Jon’s family dairy farm. Today, Blue Sky has expanded into a 10-acre operation dedicated to sustainably grown cut flowers, woody branches, unique foliage, fruits, vegetables, herbs, and seasonal crops. Our commitment to quality, responsible growing, and consistency sets us apart.

We proudly supply local florists, retail garden centers, landscape design firms, public gardens, and independent shops throughout Minnesota and beyond. Locally, our community enjoys access to our Flower Bouquet CSA Shares, seasonal Farmstand, winter holiday offerings, and our hands-on “Friday Night Flowers” Pick-Your-Own workshop series.

At Blue Sky Flower Farm, we take pride in growing with intention—prioritizing soil health, long-lasting varieties, and designs that reflect the beauty of Minnesota’s seasons. We’re grateful for your support, and we’re honored to share our farm-grown products with you.
